In 2002, Randi expanded her interests to include television. Since then, she has written for national and local newscasts in Canada. She has also produced several short documentaries. One, a profile of Muslim female athletes, was included in the 2002-03 season premiere of the CBC show, Sports Journal.
Back for its sixth season, [Sports Journal] opens with two good segments. The first wonders aloud if scalping should become legal in [Toronto] as it is in Vancouver. The second documentary is better. It talks with Canadian athletes who, as Muslim women, usually decide to sacrifice pro careers in order to obey the Korans rules on physical modesty.Catherine Dawson March
